Ed McBride is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Centiva. Before Centiva, he was the co-manager and Head Trader of the Global Arbitrage and Trading Division at RBC Capital Markets, where he played a key role in building the division over 17+ years. Ed’s leadership responsibilities included oversight and strategy, setting capital allocation and risk limits, and expanding into new strategies and regions.  Ed co-founded and serves as Vice-Chairman of Beat the Streets Philadelphia, a youth development non-profit. He is also a member of the Wharton Alumni Executive Board and the University of Pennsylvania’s Grapplers Club Board. Ed holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Karim Abbadi is the Co-Founder and Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Centiva. Prior to Centiva, Karim spent a decade at Deutsche Bank, where he led the Index Arbitrage business, co-launched a Statistical Arbitrage group and founded the High-Frequency Arbitrage desk. Karim also served as Deutsche Bank’s head of Synthetic Equities for the Americas and managed global dividend risk. He began his career at Goldman Sachs with a focus on Equities Automated Market-Making. Karim holds an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
